![]()
( Please make sure that you've downloaded and upacked our sample business logo template )
Hi there,
so you're going to change the business logo template you've just bought and downloaded the way you can use it for your company website?
Fine, here we go:
1.) Copy the font files that can be found in the fonts folder of your logo template package (in this case /logo/fonts/) into the appropriate location (for MS Windows users this is C:\WINNT\FONTS or something similar for true type fonts *.TTF)
2.) Open up Adobe Illustrator and load the file logo.ai in the unpacked folder.

Now you should see the following logo, which we want to change according to your needs:

3.) Open the character window by selecting window
type
character from the menu.

Now it's much easier to change the text properties.
4.) Now select the type tool from the tools palette,

and select the text that you want to change. In this case we want to change the company name from CompanyName.Com to HealthCompany.com:

5.) After that you can adjust some values in the character window (color, size, spacing etc.).

With the type tool you can also select and change single characters:

5.) If your line of text is too wide you can lower the character spacing in the character window:

To resize the text you can also use your mouse: Just click on one of those little rectangles and move your mouse to the left. (Please notice that the latter way does not change the character spacing, just try for yourself which way is appropriate in your case)
6.) Now it's time to resize the line underneath the company name. To do so select the white arrow from the tools palette:

While holding down the shift-key you click on the rectangle on the right side and strech the line until it fits your needs.(The shift key helps you to keep the angle of the line)

Remember to leave some space for the lower part of your "HealthCompany.com"-typo, especially for the "y":
7.) Now let's come to the logo: first we want to copy the little leaf to place it right above the bigger one: Click on the leaf and select copy from the edit menu:

and now paste it onto the scene by selecting edit paste:

8.) Now you pick the new leaf and put it right above the bigger one:

You can also rotate the leaf a bit by clicking right beside the corner of the blue rectangle.

9.) Last but not least you can change the color of some parts of your logo:

Just select the object you want to change the color for and then double-click on the foreground color in the tools palette. A new window (the color picker window) will appear with loads of color in it ,-)

Here you can see two possible results:

Now you can go straight to the business logo templates category an select a logo for your business.
